Truthjuice Bristol presents......
What the Buck? The Sustainable & Sacred Geometry of Buckminster Fuller.
A voyage through the radical mind of one of the 20th century’s most revolutionary thinkers: Richard Buckminster Fuller. By observing the fundamental truths of reality, Fuller was able to reconstruct an intuitive understanding of geometry from the ground up. An early advocate for sustainable living, Bucky’s worldview is best described in his own words:
“The fact that 99 percent of humanity does not understand nature is the prime reason for humanity's failure to exercise its option to attain universally sustainable physical success on this planet.”
In this workshop we experience Bucky’s paradigm which led to his greatest findings, including the geodesic dome, the jitterbug and much more. To illustrate the simple elegance of this visionaries work we’ll dive into a treasure trove of geometrical goodies and discover fresh insights into the nature of reality.
Jamie (Mettamorphysics) weaves together his work as an artist, physicist, performer and workshop facilitator. His eyes (all three of them) gaze upon reality with fascination, while his heart dances along in gratitude. With a background in physics, he unveils the underlying unity between the physical and the ethereal, through the grounding of contemporary understanding. Jamie has shared his discoveries in an unfolding series of workshops in the UK, across the West Coast of North America and out on the Playa at Burning Man festival.
