Well done to the hundred of people who turned out for the vigil on the Centre in Bristol on Friday evening and marched up to the BBC to protest against their biased reporting of the attacks in Gaza.

 What next????

Meet 2.00pm on the Centre in Bristol (opposite the Hippodrome) BS1 4UZ

Bring your placards, flags, whistles and banners.

Bring your friends and make it an even bigger turn-out and even more action

 

PLUS Another opportunity to help Palestine:-

 Sunday 18th November – Bristol sponsored walk for Palestine

Join us for a ten mile circular walk linking the two universities in Bristol

START: 10.00am on College Green (bottom of Park Street) Bristol BS1 5SP

LUNCH: 1.00pm in the refectory at UWE Frenchay Campus

FINISH: 5.00pm outside the Wills Building of Bristol University (top of Park Street) BS8 1RJ

The route will take us through multi-cultural Easton, Eastville Park, and via the Frome River to UWE.

We’ll return via Filton, Muller Road allotments, and the final ascent to Clifton.

We’ll walk in small groups with local people and detailed route maps are available.

As well as raising money the aim to mobile students at both Universities and to celebrate the new Palestine group at UWE. Money raised will be split 50/50 between:-

1)      UWE Conflict Scholarship Fund Started by the student occupation 2008/09 this funds students from Gaza to study at the University of West of England www1.uwe.ac.uk/aboutus/supporters/ourpriorities/conflictzonebursary.aspx

2)      Palestine Solidarity Campaigning in Bristol and the UK see www.palestinecampaign.org/
