![]() A recently set up protest camp to stop the destrcution of a ecologically sensitive woodland has had its eviction papers served. They can be evicted anytiem from Thursday, unless you van do anything about it. The camp is trying to stop yet another attempt by the local council to destroy a ecologially sensitive site which is also a place to relax for the locals from the Littlemoor Housing estate. |

Sorry, more info: they are in court on Thursday, for an eviction hearing, they haven't got their papers yet.
Is this the right place? Thought this might help anyone going down to support the action.
If anyone is going at the weekend, please mail me.

Some years back, local people fundraised for and bought Two Mile Coppice and handed it over to the Woodland Trust for safekeeping. Now the council are paying them back by planning to build a socking great road right through this popular wood. The road is still in planning with a decision expected in October. Activists have established a protest camp at this early stage so as to remind the council that they will have to suffer the considerable embarrassment and extra costs of evicting environmental protestors if they make the decision to go ahead with this iniquitous road scheme. More committed activists are urgently needed to protect this ecologically sensitive site. They are also in urgent need of long wooden joists for treehouse building, planks, rope etc.

unsurprisingly, the council won posession in court today (thursday) so get your arses down there if possible (nice weather for it).
its the brew-crew of yesteryear on site, pissing off the bats and the locals.
alcohol and drugs coming out their ears.
PLEASE NOTE: We already have enough tree hugging dole scrounging "eco warriors" he, please don't come down and join them.
The irony is, is that the very same woods they are claiming to be protecting and being damaged by these morons. Has anyone seen the damage to the trees in TeddyBear woods that is still evident from the last lot of scummy tree huggers???
Congratulations. The damage done by the protesters has suceeded in downgrading the sites status from ancient woodland to mere site of interest.
This means it's even easier to build a road though it. Thank you, we get our road finally.
