With the 40th anniversary of the Six Day War and the ongoing crisis in Gaza, Palestine is an issue that has never been far from the front pages this year. But what is really going on? How much of what we hear and read in the Western media is myth and how much is reality? And what are the realistic prospects for peace as the Israeli occupation enters its 41st year?

Hamed Qawasmeh is a Palestinian activist who lives in Hebron and works for the UN Office for Co-ordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). Tonight he gives a talk about the situation at grass roots level in his country and asks what can be done to end the occupation. Followed by questions and discussion.
