Thugs assault women at climate camp

6 thugs take out 1 woman – wow what NewLabour heros!

Shocking video footage has been made available on the media website KentOnline, showing police thugs physically assaulting women in the vicinity of the climate camp, along with a male legal observer. Reports indicate at least one of the women assaulted is from Bristol, we await confirmation.

Note that none of the women involved are actually in the climate camp, but in a public space nearby it. As is the legal observer. Note the differences in clothing and footwear between the women & LO, and the police thugs. Note the use of excessive force, knees on heads, pressure holds, blocking of camera, and so on.

Is your blood boiling? Mine is. Are these the lovely boys & girls in blue serving the community, or a paramilitary presence acting on the orders of capital and the state to clamp down on any form of dissent or opposition..

Is there an immediate solution to this brutality? The only one is to have more of us there than the thugs in uniform, and not to accept such treatment. In the longer term, we need to wake up fast to the role of the uniformed thugs, and act to defend ourselves. Tomorrow it could be you they assault, but why wait?
