Celebrate the Bristol Metro with FOSBR

A fun packed day out and about on the Severn Beach line, clebrating FOSBR's successful HALF HOUR TRAIN campaign and the world-premiere showing of our new campaign film!

We at FOSBR (Friends of Suburban Railways) will be having an Xmas Fun Day on the Severn Beach line to celebrate our successful "half-hour train" campaign which resulted in the recently increased train frequencies on the SB line.

Saturday Dec 13th: Join us at Temple Meads to catch the 11:16 service to Severn Beach, where we will adjourn to Shirley's Cafe for warming refreshments or a saunter along the river. Our agents will be distributing the new timetable and seasonal cheer at stations and on trains.

Take the 12:55 service from Severn Beach to Stapleton Road and come and join us at Eastside Roots, an organic community garden at Stapleton Road Station, where we will be taking part in a winter decoration making workshop and a gardener's question time session. A simple cafe and volunteer work day will be in full swing ensuring a fun filled time for all.

Take the 15:40 service from Stapleton Road to Bristol Temple Meads Celebrate FOSBR's continuing work to improve rail services in our local area at The Great Western Staff Association, on the station approach at Bristol Temple Meads. Local councillors have been invited to come along and pledge their support for the re-introduction of passenger services on the Portishead and Henbury lines, there will be a premiere screening of FOSBR's first campaign film, plus a display of pictures, photographs and drawings from our archives. Refereshments will be available.
