free, fun, pro-bike bike ride: now bigger than ever

Meet 5.30pm, May 29 @ fountains by the Hippodrome.

You need: a bike, a smile.

Critical Mass this month looks like it'll be the biggest for a long time. April brought an impressive turn-out of 70-80 people, and it looks like they've been telling their friends, because the number signed up to the facebook group (link below) has been growing fast.

Critical Mass is a free, fun, gentle ride around the town centre in the spirit of celebrating public space, and showing cyclists have a right to the road too. We're trying to inspire cyclists, not anger motorists. We meet at 5.30pm at the fountains across from the Hippodrome, and set off around 6pm. The route is decided spontaneously by everyone.

This month we're expecting a huge gathering and a wonderful carnival atmosphere with music and balloons and crazy custom bikes! Join us, and invite friends!
