The evening of Zimbabwe Day gets under way at 7.30pm with a talk and discussion about the current situation. Our special guest is Dr Tawanda Alex Magaisa, Political Analyst and Law Lecturer at the University of Kent. Dr Magaisa is a highly respected observer of the Zimbabwean scene – and, as a member of neither the MDC nor ZANU-PF, he’s well placed to talk on “The Inclusive Government of Zimbabwe: Key challenges & ways forward”. Also on the panel is Gizella Hughes, Area Manager of the Immigration Advisory Service in Bristol, who will speak on the UK Border Agency’s immigration & asylum policy towards Zimbabweans.

The event is on Friday 19th June at the Pierian Centre, 27 Portland Square, St Pauls, Bristol BS2 8SA. Come early and enjoy the Celebrating Sanctuary art exhibition – details at www.celebratingsanctuary.co.uk.
