B&NES Council bosses go on taxpayer funded holiday whilst planning huge council job cuts

B&NES Council bosses recently returned home from an all expenses paid 10 day holiday to the Chinese city of Jingdezhen, the porcelain capital of China under the pretext of "strengthening links with the Far East."
The trip, which cost £8000 of council taxpayers hard earned cash, saw Council Chief Executive John Everitt accompanied by his wife, council leader Cllr Haeberling and deputy leader multi millionaire retired international banker Cllr Hanney entertained by local Comminist party bosses with daily excursions laid on to various tourist attractions such as the local porcelain factory where they were presented with early examples of Northern Song dynasty celadon ware.
Deputy leader Cllr Hanney said "the council was looking into developing a porcelain exhibition in Bath and that it was critical B&NES made friends and developed links with our red army comrades.
Questions are now being asked as to which council committee authorised this very serious misuse of public funds if indeed it was authorised?
Meanwhile these very same individuals are secretly finalising their plans to slash up to 10% of B&NES Council's workforce very early in the new year.
