Defend Abortion Rights: A Woman's Right to Choose.

Tory cabinet ministers including Home Secretary Theresa May and Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt have launched a new attack on women’s right to have an abortion. They have put forward their ‘opinion’ that the limit for abortions should be reduced from 24 weeks to 12 weeks. They have been joined by the Coalition’s Minister for Women and Equalities (sic) Maria Miller in calling for new restrictions. It seems that some in the Tory party want to copy the US Tea Party in rolling back legislation that protects women’s rights to abortion, but also ordinary peoples’ rights to job security, healthcare and welfare benefits. This meeting, introduced by Liz Brown, explains the case for abortion rights, and suggests ways we can fight back against the Government’s attacks on working people.
