Socialist Workers Party Bristol invites you to an evening of politics and culture. The lead speaker is Judith Orr, Editor of Socialist Worker
Not a day passes without news of shattering economic crisis, demands by our rulers for sacrifice by the majority, brutal wars and crackdowns on dissent.
Meanwhile the rich and the powerful pile up still more wealth and influence. And the same pattern recurs again and again.our rulers for sacrifice by the majority, brutal wars and crackdowns on dissent.
Can’t we do better? Can’t we do better than this? We think a socialist world, where people come before profit, could offer a future without deep inequality, poverty, racism, oppression and endless wars. It would be a society of genuine democracy, not the fake versions on offer now. Capitalism drives us toward competition and division. Socialism is about using the energy and initiative of the immense majority in the interest of the immense majority.
Using our power We will only get such a society by using the power workers have to change the world. In the resistance across the globe
we can glimpse the force to bring about a better future. Can we have a different society, would it work, and how do we get there? Come to
this meeting to discuss how we can make history together.
++Plus Graffiti from around the world, display and exhibition.
Doors open 630pm, rally at 730pm
