So being British is sitting in deckchairs on

the beach is it? This subvertizer suggests

it also requires facing the crimes of

the British Empire such as the Bengal Famine

of 1942 when between 3 and 4 million died

because of the refusal of the British authorities

to release stockpiles of food grain. Also not

to forget Bloody Sunday in 1972 when the

British army shot 26 unarmed civil rights

protestors in Derry, 13 of whom died.
