On the 24th March, The Cube Cinema and Microplex in Bristol will host a series of events as part of Reel Iraq 2013.

Reel Iraq is spread across 8 cities in the UK and commemorates a decade since the invasion of Iraq through an inspired program of music, film, poetry, dance and discussion.

The Cube will be welcoming artists who have travelled from Iraq for the festival, while also engaging Iraqi and Kurdish creatives  based in the South West.  This promises to be a truly unique event whilst encouraging debate about what has, and hasn’t, happened in Iraq over the last decade.

Screenings of Dreams of Sparrows by Haydar Daffar and Return to Kirkuk by Karzan Sherabayani, followed by a live discussion between the filmakers; My Dad the Iraqi by Suzie Zara, A Fire Blazing Brightly by award winning playwright, Hassan Abdulrazzak, Iraqi Kawleeya Dance from Fiora Touliatou, Poems ‘For & from Iraq’, live music from City of SaltâÂ?¨, food, drink, conversation and you..
