The Rockschool @ Sounds is running a holiday workshop for young musicians to form bands and write songs, where they will then record them to CD in three days!The course runs for three days, each day with a three hour session. Musicians are in groups of three or four, and the first day teaches them how to coordinate together by learning a song of their choice . The second day teaches them how to write there own songand perform it together. On the third and final day the song is recorded, and the students have their own rock song published on CD!The course is priced at £69 per person. All ages and levels are welcome. Today the University of Bath refused permission for Nick Griffin, leader of the fascist BNP to give a lecture, which was due to take place on Monday 14th May 2007. Local trade unions including UCU, UNISON and Amicus joined with the National Union of Students and Bath University Students Union and national anti-fascist campaign Unite Against Fascism to mount a campaign to prevent him from being allowed to speak at the university on the grounds that fascist politics pose a danger to the diversity of students and staff alike.
