Shut Down Land and Marine will be the first demo of the Bath Climate Camp, taking place between Thurday 19th and sunday 22nd of April. The camp will have protest/workshops/live music/ food and kids activities and be run on eco-friendly principles. Vigil regulars will be sorry to hear of the death of Howard Goorney on 29 March. Howard was a long-time supporter of CND especially Ex-Services CND, and more recently the Coalition. He was an actor on the stage with Joan Littlewood's Theatre Workshop and as a National Theatre player, in films, on radio and on TV. Apart from his loyal support for the campaign and local activism, he will also be remembered for his impeccable comic timing and being the scourge - in the nicest possible way - of both pomposity and of misdirected enthusiasm. read full story / add a comment
