Following the Information Commissioners ruling on 13 November 2008 that B&NES Council's Chief Executive and its Monitoring Officer/Solicitor "contravened the first Data Protection principle, which requires that personal data are processed fairly and lawfully, and the third principle which requires that personal data are adequate, relevant and not excessive" when disclosing personal data about a member of the public to the Audit Commission it has now made a further ruling. read full story / add a comment
