This morning the court granted Vestas PLC the possession order it sought for the factory where workers are currently in occupation fighting to save their jobs, and save the environment. There were suggestions about half an hour ago that bailiffs were already inside the building, which now seem to have been an attempt to demoralise the occupiers. However, this court decision means that the eviction is now imminent but the occupiers are not planning to give up. They now need all the support they can get. read full story / add a comment

The injunction to stop the Big Green Gathering cited the fact that the Big Green Gathering could not gain a Road Closure order in time for the event, despite the fact that the Highways Department had told the Big Green Gathering Chair, Brig Oubridge that it would be done. On Tuesday, 28th July, after the Big Green Gathering had been forced to cancel the event, a staff member found the Road Closure Order by a hedge on the Cheddar Road and subsequently another was found still pinned to a gatepost. Other signs appeared to have been taken down and evidence of the silver tape was still in place read full story / add a comment

Coal, gas, oil, and atomic energy is destroying the planets livability and therefore the last forty-five years of ecological green revolution has brought into being the high and low tech tools to put in place wind, tidal, and solar power that transforms to electricity and is more power than society can use. No more blackouts. This non-pollution solution provides work for all and forever more. Viva socialist liberation. End pollution wars, not endless wars for more pollution. Coal itself is a dirty fossil fuel in that it burns out the atmospheres' oxygen and leaves carbon dioxide, and we cannot live on carbon-dioxide. The bosses of coal however, have created a fraud called 'clean coal' to green wash the genocidal features of burning coal. Solar is the path to liberation and will free the miners from dying early from blacklung read full story / add a comment

This evening I went for a run, part of my run includes running behind the old Blackberry Hill hospital site where there is a flat open space which is mowed regularly and seemly many people use for recreational activities such as walking, jogging, playing games etc. The Homes and Communities Agency have put up numerous signs (which have substantial metal poles and are very well put up) saying that the area is Private Property and warning people to stick to footpaths (which are completely invisible, it is an open field) Why? read full story / add a comment

For reference, the section of the Commons Act 2006 which permits BCC to voluntarily register their own land as Town Green is ... Section 15(8) - The owner of any land may apply to the commons registration authority to register the land as a town or village green. BCC as owner can therefore simply apply to itself as Registration Authority to register the land.
