This demonstration in London is timed to coincide with the Lisbon NATO conference at which Afghanistan will be the main talking point. For all the talk of diplomacy and troop drawdown, there are more NATO troops in the country than at any time since 2001.

Coaches from Bristol leave Anchor Road (opposite @Bristol) at 8.15am on 20th November. Tickets £15 waged, £8 unwaged.

Four members of Wrexham Peace & Justice Forum held a vigil in Wrexham this morning to coincide with, and in solidarity with, those blockading Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth. As the vigil was held on one of the main routes into Wrexham during the busy morning rush hour, many hundreds of vehicles passed by, and hundreds of flyers explaining the action were handed out to pedestrians. read full story / add a comment

Joe Glenton was released from jail in August after refusing to return to Afghanistan. SORRY FOR DELAY DUE TO OVER-ZEALOUS SPAM FILTER

A large crowd gathered in Lawrence Hill on Saturday 9th October to celebrate send-off of the latest Bristol Convoy to Gaza. In just three weeks the group, Bristol-Gaza-Link has raised the money for five vehicles which will make the journey to Gaza. They are a mini-bus with wheel-chair facility and a large box-van and three cargo vans. They have been decorated with flags, images of Bristol friendship with Gaza, and solidarity messages (see pictures attached). read full story / add a comment

We will be loading aid from about 10.00am onwards and the vehicles move out at 12.00 noon
Medical aid, children's toys and clothes, stationery (paper pencils etc), school textbooks and messages of support.
We are inviting local politicians and the media
Please be there to give a good send-off, bring whistles, musical instruments, flags and banners.
