For many people the knock on the door by the Jehovah's Witnesses is an amusing opportuninity to put the 'God Botherers' straight in a philosophical argument. For others it is simply a pain in the backside, but very few know that the Jehovah's Witnesses are an elitist organisation in which thousands of well intentioned believers get caught up. This horriffice injustice illustrates the way that the masonic cult inside Bristol's judiciary has protected a fellow cult member. read full story / add a comment

This story of creeping totalitarianism has been mercilessly spun and regurgitated uncritically by the Bristol Evening Post. Back in the 1930s Hitler ordered the entire German population's personal and race data be stored on a massive IBM database. The same thing, only much more advanced, is taking place in Bristol city centre right now. http://www.ibmandtheholocaust.com/ read full story / add a comment

Much has been said & written about America’s illegal treatment of untried ‘prisoners’ in places like Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib, along with its policy of secret rendition of persons unknown to places unknown. Much less is known of America’s internal ‘political prisoners’, numbering many hundreds, from a variety of political backgrounds - many of whom have served many years in prison whilst protesting their innocence and the unjust legal system that imprisoned them. The article below by Michael Africa, of the MOVE organisation, who has been in prison for 29 years, highlights the mental cruelty & isolation suffered by these prisoners. You can hear fellow MOVE member, Ramona Africa, speak at the next Bristol Indymedia film night on 2 July, and watch the MOVE documentary too. read full story / add a comment

This is a timely repost of an article by Tony Gosling, and which appears to be the masthead article of a new forum for Bristol http://talk-bristol.org Colin Port, Chief Constable of Avon & Somerset Constabulary, will not only be the man responsible for the (laughably bungled) political clamp down on green activism over the weekend, he is also routinely suspected of protecting the killers of Rosemary Nelson, in a 3 year investigation "which found nothing and prosecuted no-one." With the Fairford Retrials due to begin shortly - and a full timetable of trial dates expected soon - a story related to these trials which is often out of the picture, is the importance of Fairford as 1 of only 4 bases in the world fully equipped to house the U.S B-2 Stealth Bomber. Another of those bases is Diego Garcia... Before I continue, if you are not fully aware of, or would like reminding of background to the Fairford Trials, a summary of links is below. read full story / add a comment

On the Avon and Somerset police website it explains that Avon and Somerset's present Chief Constable Colin Port headed an 'independent' investigation into the 1999 car-bombing and murder of Republican lawyer Rosemary Nelson. Colin Port's web page explains, "Between 1999 and 2002 he was seconded to Northern Ireland to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of Rosemary Nelson." read full story / add a comment

bristol / policing / announcement Monday November 27, 2006 18:46 by HELP
If anyone at the Bristol Free Party on Sat (Nov 25th) on Cumberland Rd witnessed police violence against partiers and bystanders we need your help. Specifically the incidents at around 2.30am when the police charged a group of people on Cumberland Rd near the Louisiana swinging batons and shields at people indiscriminately and setting dogs on people. There were at least 2 arrests. Were you arrested? Were you attacked by the police? Did you witness these events? Do you have photos (there was at least one person taking photos)? We can’t allow police to use such heavy handed indiscriminate violence against people wanting to dance. We need your help for defence cases.
