"Everyday, everywhere, through spontaneous and planned actions, people are changing the world, together. These everyday actions come from the growing desire to do it ourselves – plant vegetables, organise a community day to get people involved in improving where we live, expose exploitative firms, take responsibility for our health, make cups of tea in a social centre, figure out how to install a shower powered by the sun, make a banner, support strikers, pull a prank to make someone laugh, as well as think", (Do It Yourself, A Handbook for Changing our World.) read full story / add a comment

EdF, who plan to build two giant reactors at Hinkley Point, have insisted upon a series of supposedly legally binding agreements with Sedgemoor, West Somerset and Somerset Councils allowing EdF to exclude certain planning information from the Freedom of Information Act. GUESS WHO'S BACK!?

Saturday September the 12th. Remember this date ,as it will go down in history, as the day Bristol Class War was reborn.
After visiting the Bristol Anarchist bookfair ,& being largely unimpressed,by the middle class kids playing at politics. A contigent from the Class War stall, decided to reconvine to the boozer, for some proper disscussion,on the current state of Bristol!
As the mass exodus began to attract further followers. Old & new friends came together, with a renewed hope & enthusiasm ( & a few beers) to bring together, a new Bristol Class War group.
It's not as if we've been away, many of us there, have been involved in various local & national issues. Fighting for the rights of the working class & those without a voice.

Fed up with politicians & the banks, taking our money & us for idiots. Cuts in wages, jobs & services.
The rise of Right wing bigots on our estates, trying to fool people with their lies.
Police oppression & the big brother state.Wars no one wants & being fed the same old bullshit by those in power.
We've had enough of all that,& want to create change.

We had our first meeting a couple of weeks later.lots of people turned up & We've got lots of ideas. But it's not just about us,we want YOU to become involved.Life is not something that happens to you,it's something you make.

If your interested in more information, then contact us. read full story / add a comment

As the rumour goes disposing of car tyres isn't so cheap nowadays, for years avonmouth shipped out tyres to india for profit (with bold tread) , maybe that market's dried up, but why have the people who live around the m32 area have to choke on burning tyres from sims metal ltd , who want to dispose them in a cheap way (for themselves), but wasting resoarces like the fire-fighters ,who could be saving lives or getting cats out of trees for old ladies. A home-made poster was stuck to their gates in gatton rd, st werburgh's on the night of 15/10/09 reading: ....... NO MORE FIRES read full story / add a comment
