Break the siege! No Borders national day of action for Gaza
No Borders UK | 30.03.2009 12:35 | Anti-militarism | Migration | Palestine | World

On the 5th February, Israel and Egypt shut all borders with Gaza. Egypt has said it will close the Rafah border indefinitely as Gaza is an 'occupied territory'. No Borders UK calls for an immediate opening of Israeli and Egyptian borders with Gaza.

No Borders calls for a day of action on 27th April. Target those profiting from the siege (BAE, G4S, Caterpillar, EDO, Raytheon etc.).

ITT (as in EDO /ITT/MBM) are trying to hide their evil profiteering from the arms trade.
The fact that once manufactured their bloody products can end up anywhere, including
rogue states seems to be of little or no concequence.

Another examle of why six people took matters (and hammers) into their own hands
when in Brighton this January. read full story / add a comment

A public meeting in Bristol will expose a scandalous crime taking place throughout Britain today. The trafficking of human beings is widespread – and is flourishing because of our ignorance of it. The scale of the problem, and what can be done about it, will be outlined at the Pierian Centre at 7pm on Thursday 26th March. read full story / add a comment

June 2009 sees the elections for MEPs, Members of the European Parliament. I noticed it when I saw the Green party has opened an office in Old Market; but this article is nothing to do with the Greens, it is about a real threat to our democratic values, and a call to action. read full story / add a comment

Following dropping airport expansion grants from its operations (due to the fact it looks a bit diodgy supporting airport expansion while peaching the low-carbon mantra) the South West Regional Development Agency (SWRDA) is going further into the green with the high-profile lecture at the Festival of Ideas by Gaia-guru James Lovelock. read full story / add a comment
