Here in Bristol we live in the shadow of Hinkley. Hinkley is a possible site for the next generation of Nuke stations. Help stop them building any more

Today (25 March) is the deadline for submissions to the Government's consultation for Justification for New Nuclear Reactors. This is one of very few chances you have to put forward your concerns on the health effects, etc of nuclear power, as local planning inquiries will refuse to hear these arguments under the new streamlined planning laws.

For your convenience, a sample e-mail is provided, along with contact details. It will only take a minute of your time to copy and paste and send. read full story / add a comment

Nature doesn't do bailouts!

2008 saw the biggest Climate Camp to date and the most incredible array of direct action against climate change on record.

In 2009, we're focusing on the fact that the failed economic system has caused climate change, and that proposals to use similar systems to address climate change - at the UN Climate Change conference in Copenhagen in December and elsewhere - are doomed to fail. We will be actively opposing these attempts and promoting alternatives - starting in London on 1 April.

Climate Camp hits the City of London on April Fools Day, the eve of the G20 leaders' London Summit. read full story / add a comment

Bristol Rising Tide meeting to plot and plan further action against the root causes of climate change. There is plenty going on: protests at the G20 Summit and a whole spring/ summer/ autumn of action building up to the COP 15 climate change summit in Copenhagen in December.

We are an open, autonomous, grassroots direct action group: everyone is welcome except the police and their mates. read full story / add a comment

We were told we were getting flying cars!

Forget that, welcome to the vegetarian dystopia.. How will this affect how we prepare for the future here in Bristol?

How can Bristol anarchists and activsts help to shape the new food, transport, and energy systems?

Well check out the recent farm for the future program on iplayer http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00hs8zp/Natural_W...ture/
