Boycott Bath’s Little Theatre Cinema.

Organised to coincide Ritzy Cinema staff march through London on Thursday July 17th. They were out demanding to be payed the London Living Wage. Starting at the British Film Institute, theĀ  cinema workers continued taking their message to the head offices of the Picturehouse Cinema chain (who run the Little Theatre) and ended outside City Hall where Ken Loach addressed the crowd.

Meanwhile in Bath members of the Bristol local of the Solidarity Federation leafleted the cinema goers and asked them to consider a future boycott of the cinema because of the chains refusal to pay a decent wage to the staff in London. The local staff and visitors were highly support of the picket and were disgusted to hear of how a profitable company is refusing their staff a wage that they can live on.

Many locals would be even more shocked to hear the latest news from London. Sundays showing of the Monty Python live show only went ahead as Picturehouse despicably brought in scabs, and then surrounded the cinema with metal barricades and police.

This dispute is becoming increasing bitter. Boycott the Little Theatre. Bring the picture house to it’s knees.
