In a weekend packed with potentially subversive diversions Avonmouth are adding a spot of front line community resistance into the mix.
The Dust Forum are holding another impromptu demo from 12- 2 in protest at the ongoing failure to regulate dangerous industrial practises near their homes.
Wood dust from biomass, flies from biomass, metal dust and a possible new ‘bottom ash’ storage facility are all likely to be on the agenda.
They’ll be meeting at Avonmouth Park with a Brazilian themed thang at midday. The hope is to leaflet holidaymakers heading into the port for a cruise and thus increase pressure on the Port company to listen to their concerns.
