Beta testing bugs, please help us

Hi, a couple of people have contacted us with bugs which is great, this is really useful for us. The following outlines the problems we seem to have and how to help us by doing a test event, group and news post.

The common ones seem to be when adding a group or story you are asked to do a math question, it seems that the ones causing problems are multiplication ones. So we have disabled that and now it should only be adding or subtracting questions.

Calendar problem:

Also the calendar wasn’t accepting events, but we think we may have sorted that out.

Help us by testing the site.

It would be great if people could test the site by trying to add a story, event or group using the title “testing from outside” for whatever your adding.

Of course if you have a genuine story, group or event to add then try that out.

Important you need to clear your internet cache to test.

If you want to test to help us, then make sure you clear you cache if you have been visiting the site already, it will mean you will have to login back into websites that you use a password to access such as email etc. Here is how to do it.

Many browser related problems can be fixed by clearing your cache and/or cookies, but it’s important to know how each impacts your browser before you delete them.

Getting started

Your web browser’s “Cache” is a place where information is stored which helps webpages load faster. “Cookies” are small pieces of information stored on your computer which save website customization.

  • Clear your cookies to fix – Sign-in problems (not being able to sign-in, not being able to stay signed-in) and error messages about setting user cookies.
    • Keep in mind – Clearing your cookies will delete all website information stored in your browser (passwords, sign-in information, site-specific preferences, etc).
  • Clear your cache to fix – Pages that hang, freeze, don’t finish loading, or contain old content, and online applications (like games) that don’t respond.
